What you receive for this listing price. The listing is for our hand made oak porch that we name " THE BRABOURNE " in the same style as the example photos. The kits are designed to be simple to put together and typically the only fixing required is through the is through the rear rafters into the wall. We supply all the tapered dowels to peg together and hex screws for the rafters.
The listing price is based on a porch kit with a external post footprint of up to 2200mm width and 1200mm deep. Side height is 1200mm to the top of the top plate and the whole structure is designed to sit on 900mm walls/plinths. " THE BRABOURNE " has strong, large front curved jowl posts tied with a graceful, solid and substantial curved beam across the front elevation.
To the sides we add feature design and strength with 1 spindle and one feature curved brace both jointed and pegged into the frame. The side spindles have a nice stop chamfer to add to the frames timeless, classic detail. The frame is supplied with a sanded finish. Oak of course protects itself so there is no need to treat further, unless it is aesthetic - some customers like the oiled look. It is important to ensure any oil used has no varnish content. Our standard roof pitch is 45 degrees with 3 spindles in the apex and the kit is designed to be placed on 900mm dwarf brickwork wall. This would give you approx 2100mm walk in but we can adjust measurements and also pitch as required to suit your design. It is possible for us to add extra side detail with another curved brace and more spindles as required, we do make additional charges to build these into your frame. At 1500mm depth from wall for example, the Brabourne looks fantastic with 2 curved braces and 3 spindles to the sides. We are also able to add sprockets to the roof line to give an elegant flick to the end of the roof if required. Typically, most frames are not to the listing exact size and specification so it is really important that we discuss measurements and required pitch etc with you before placing an order with us. We want to make sure we get it right and to add you to a long list of very happy customers.
