Marble Columns. Solid Carrara marble. Front Porch. Architectural Salvage

A matching pair of Solid Carrara Marble Columns. 2700 mm Tall Overall including bases and tops. Main columns 300 mm diameter.

Bases and tops 450 mm wide. These are fluted traditional roman columns with a tiered and graduated plinth. These were manufactured in our own facility by CNC and hand finished. Order cancelled by customer due to covid.

These columns are solid and load bearing so can be incorporated in a structural design. I have calculated that these columns will support 65 tons each. To get to that figure i have used a crush strength of carrara marble to be 900Kg/cm2. Suitable for external or internal use, carrara marble has been used for this kind of constructional decoration for thousands of years. There are a few chips here and there, but these could be positioned out of sight or repaired.

I have tried to make these obvious on the photos. The columns are currently stored in west yorkshire. We have lifting gear there to safely load these columns into your van or trailer.
