Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this. Absolutely stunning circa 1840 A Gardner & Son Glasgow flamed mahogany serpentine fronted library bookcase with ornately carved Claw & Ball feet.

A very good looking and well made piece, it screams late Georgian decadence. We have cleaned waxed and polished it from top to bottom, its in good used period order throughout. Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point, if you would like any additional or specific measurements please ask.

Gardner & Son were cabinet makers based at 36 Jamaica Street, Glasgow in Scotland. They built very fine quality antique furniture using quality woods but mainly used Mahogany and Walnut with fine quality inlays. A Gardner & Son started in the Georgian era of 1803 by his Grandfather. A Gardner took over the business in 1832 and the company continued for over 150 years of creating fine furniture.
